Dark and mystery... making of

As Petra has mentioned earlier in her post, she and Hrvoje get really creative, sometimes leaving the rest of us around them trying to figure out how to do what they’ve had in mind. I must say doing makeup for this shooting where Hrvoje was supposed to look dark and mysterious was a real challenge for me.

I knew very little about doing makeup on men and it was really hard to find something on that topic that would come to good use this time. So, after some research I decided to improvise and see where it takes me.

First I applied some loose powder foundation to prevent skin from shining and then did some heavy contouring with the darkest Coastal Scents concealer, mostly on the cheeks, some on the forehead and jaw line. We didn’t want makeup to show on photos so no color was applied.

I must admit, I was quite pleased with the result.

Oh, and did I mention that makeup was all done in a community room in a horse stable and it was so freezing I could barely hold my brushes?  :)
